Caught up on *Frieren* during last night’s three-hour power cut, just me and a dying phone. It’s a quiet show, but it broke me in that way where you’re just staring at a crack in the hostel wall afterwards. Meanwhile, I still don’t get the hype around *Jujutsu Kaisen* — sometimes it feels like watching a very pretty powerpoint presentation.
Speaking of public screenings, the hostel common room TV is a warzone over the remote. After that story about the pizza pan, I’m never laughing during Vinod’s serious film nights again. My bamboo shoot Maggi and I will stay safely in the back.
